Is breathing the cause of your tension?

August 16th of my book:  ‘How To Change Your Life One Day At A Time‘.

Take the opportunity today to be aware of your breathing.

Every now and then stop and notice your breathing.

You don’t have to slip into meditation mode (although if you have the time I recom- mend it), just notice. Are you breathing shallow and quickly? Are you holding your breath without realising? Are you huffing and puffing?

If it’s any of those then take a second to relax. Shrug your shoulders two or three times. Take a deep breath and let it out slowly.

Notice a few times today and you may find that your breathing is keeping you tense. Regulate it and you’ll calm down almost immediately.

Enjoy

  1. Very necessary relaxation tips!
    Pressure reduces productivity sometimes.
I agree with you, it’s necessary to observe things as minute as our breathe, because the things we consider little are often responsible for much!

  2. oh, yes…I’m the one who all of a sudden notices I haven’t actually been breathing…not to the point of death…but, causing a little bit of “uptightedness”…
