Take the opportunity today to fail at something.

Hiya,

Whoa! What? You want me to fail at something – on purpose!?

That doesn’t make sense.

Actually, I’m not suggesting that you fail on purpose. I’m suggesting
that you try something that you’ll find really difficult. Something
that if you succeeded you’d really grow. Push yourself – hard!

So what will happen if you fail? You’ll be able to draw some
inspiration from the fact that you tried, maybe even came close.
Learnt what you might be able to do differently next time in order to
succeed. Realise that taking risks and raising your head above the
parapit drives you forward. If you only attempt things that you’re
pretty sure you can achieve how will you experience something
exciting?
Going for it when others are afraid to or tell you you’re not able
enhances your living experience, it will get your adrenalin pumping
and it will put a smile on your face – once the grimace has worn off! 😉
The world’s leading marketers have a term for failure – they call it
testing! So go and test.

But what if you succeed?

Then wow! No more needs to be said.

Enjoy

Take the opportunity today to try something you think you can’t do.

Hiya,

How many conversations do you remember where you said that you
couldn’t do something? You know the ones… ‘Oh, I’m terrible at
remembering names…’ or, ‘I’m useless at DIY…’ or, ‘Maths was never
my strong point…’ – you get the picture.
These statements aren’t so much a statement of fact or truth but
rather a statement of what we don’t like to do because we find it
difficult. It takes too much thinking. Way too much effort. You could
say these examples we use are outside of our comfort zone.

The thing is, the only way to push ourselves is to do the thing that we find
difficult. That’s one way in which we can grow. You’ll probably find
that most of those things aren’t so difficult after all – it’s just
that you’ve got into the habit of ‘not’ doing them. Do them, see how
rewarding it is to actually be able to fix that shelf or solve that
problem or improve that memory. That will then spur you on to have a
go at more and more things that previously you thought you couldn’t
do.
In actual fact there’s nothing that you can’t do, only those things
you choose not to do.

Go on – you’ll surprise yourself.

Enjoy

Take the opportunity today to do something daring!

Hiya,

Wow, can you do that? Can you be daring? When was the last time you
did anything daring? OK, stop worrying, this can be as big or as small
as you want it to be. Maybe you’ll ask someone on a date – oooh,
that’s a pretty big one! Or maybe you’ll take a 2 hour lunch break. 🙂
You rebel!

Whatever it is, do it today – remember when you get to the end of your
life you’re more likely to regret the things you DIDN’T do. Make today
a day of no regrets.

Ask yourself during today: ‘What do I do that’s daring?’

Then ask: ‘What could I do that would BE daring?’

Then do it.

Enjoy

Take the opportunity today to say thanks.

Hiya,

This is the simplest thing in the world to do – and sometimes the
hardest. We all have occasions where saying thanks to someone really
sticks in our side. Sometimes we might even decide not to say it at
all. But saying thanks under those conditions can really make a
difference, not only to the person you’re saying it too but to you
too. When you can say thanks, and mean it sincerely, you are on the
path to building a bridge with that person. That relationship could
end up growing stronger or at least more bearable.
You can even say thanks to the universe for being just alive!
On the easy side – saying thanks to someone who has just held the door
open for you or moved aside to let you through can brighten their day.
That thanks will wind its way through the day passing from one person
to the next and the next. Be the one that starts that process off and
then enjoy the thought of where it might end up. You never know, your
easy thanks in the morning could end up being someone else’s difficult
thanks at the end of the day.

Nice thought huh?

Enjoy

Take the opportunity today to look through some of your old photos.

Hiya,

Since photography was invented the miracle of capturing a moment in
time touched people deep inside. The possibility of being visually
taken back to a memory became priceless. Soldiers went to battle with
a picture of their loved ones – the most valuable item they owned at
that moment. Those photos defined them. The fallen enemy soldiers
wallets would contain the same cherished images.

We all love the photos we own even though we’re in the film age, even though it’s so easy to look back at videos – photos retain their intrinsic value.

Once you have a photo you don’t need any device to play them on. You
just need eyes to see.
Replay some of those old memories, beautiful heartfelt moments, funny
laugh out loud moments, deep and meaningful moments. Reconnect with
who you are and what has shaped you through the miracle of your old
photos.

Enjoy
