Do You Dread Going to Work?

p.277 of Scott Ginsberg's 'The Nametag Principle'

p.277 of Scott Ginsberg’s ‘The Nametag Principle’

Every day I read a page of Scott Ginsberg’s ‘The Nametag Principle’.  (I’m out of synch due to when I started reading it! 🙂

As you can see from the page above, there’s a reason why employees clock watch. But that doesn’t mean ONLY the boss can change that.

If you ARE an employee that clock watches – talk to your boss. Tell them you feel disengaged then offer solutions that would get you engaged. They will listen, or not. If not, you can choose to stay or choose to look for a better job.

If you are a boss and your employees seem unhappy, demotivated, uninspired – talk to them. Ask them what would need to happen for them to enjoy their job more. Then LISTEN. Brainstorm ways to let all employees feel valued, appreciated, part of the team.

Scott has a lot of books (for free) on his blog: HELLO My Name is Blog!

I encourage you to check his work out – you’ll be glad you did.

PS: One of Scott’s pages from another of his books features as July 14th of my own book – check it out if you have a copy. 🙂
