Do you take yourself too seriously?

This is October 6th of my book:  ‘How To Change Your Life One Day At ATime‘.

Take the opportunity today to entertain some kids by being daft.

Is there anything more fun than goofing around with some kids. As we grow older we run the risk of forgetting how enjoyable it is to just run around making a lot of noise and being daft.

Watch some kids playing, you won’t find them feeling self conscious – that’s the disease of the grown up.

A word of warning; if the kids you’re thinking of being daft with aren’t your own – as the sergeant used to say in Hill Street Blues: “Let’s be careful out there.

It goes without saying, but make sure you know them and make sure they’re happy for you to join in. You don’t want to freak them out! (Or their parents.)

Enjoy

  1. watched my sister’s grandson a couple of hours…and we had the best time making a bat for Halloween…his giggles were like a burst of sunshine…
    and tonight my own grandkids…
pretzel and cookie making…they will bring joy for sure!

  2. When we were in Paris a few weeks ago we had so much fun playing with my cousin’s little boy of 3 1/2. He thought we came from America just to play with him. It was such fun!

    • That’s great! When my daughter was about that age she thought she could turn the TV channels over with her finger – I was using the remote!! 🙂 (I did tell her in the end)
