Are your best friends your closest allies?

This is September 9th of my book:  ‘How To Change Your Life One Day At ATime‘.

Take the opportunity today to choose your friends wisely.

Those that scoff and are negative about your dreams will hold you back. You know the ones, it’s possible they’re your closest friends.

Why do they do it?

Partly because they don’t want to see you fail, but partly because they don’t want you to succeed. If you succeed there’s a possibility you’ll leave them behind. Not because you want to, but because your life will lead you down different paths than before – paths which they may not be able to follow.

So, whilst you can’t throw friendships away just because you become successful, consider carefully who’s company you want to spend time in if you really do want to change your life. Good friends will be inspired by your success and may even model it to become successful themselves.

A true friend never gets in your way unless you happen to be going down. ~ Arnold H. Glasgow
