Do you find you’re always in a rush?

This is August 26th of my book:  ‘How To Change Your Life One Day At A Time‘.

Take the opportunity today to slow down.

If you live in the western world you know exactly what I’m talking about here. Everything is a hundred miles an hour. You turn on the TV and they can’t even run the credits on programmes anymore without squeezing the screen up so they can advertise the next program. The commercials have so much motion in them your eyes don’t get a second to settle on anything until the pack shot at the end.

Then there’s our jobs, the deadlines, the rush to get home. Sometimes I actually like to get stuck in traffic just for the chance to slow down. It doesn’t help that we are now contactable 24/7 via our multi functional mobile devices. Many statistics now show that we are actually less productive than 20 years ago for this very reason.

We don’t give ourselves the time to focus.

So, slow down. Just for today. And if you like it, do it again another day, and another and so on. Before too long you will be living a calmer more enjoyable and rewarding life. Believe me – you won’t be missing anything.

Enjoy

Stu
